The 2025 LSFM Banquet speaker, Rev. Stephen Heimer, will address the topic, "U.S. Mission From All Nations: Love and Law Amid Immigration Turmoil"
The Christian who is captivated by the Revelation 7:9 description of the church, “from every nation, of all tribes, peoples, and languages,” agonizes over the clash of concerns surrounding immigration policy, enforcement, and life together. Instead of paralysis, division, and conflict defining our mission, we can find unity in Christ’s gifts of law and Gospel, means of grace, and two-kingdom vocational respect.
Speaking on these vital aspects of mission today is Pastor Stephen Heimer, who will address the current complexities of immigration ministry while relating his experiences ministering to immigrants, U.S. Homeland Security, and the National Guard in immigration detention and shelters on both sides of the US/Mexico border. Stephen, the son of a Cuban immigrant and an LCMS church planter, addresses this topic from a variety of vantage points, including his new role leading the LCMS All Nations Ministry.
