Mission work around the world and in the US probably has never faced greater challenges or greater opportunities. The Lutheran Society for Missiology (LSFM) invites you to join those who want the Lutheran church to understand the challenges and seize the opportunities to share the Good News of Jesus.

LSFM members start from the basic understanding that to be effective witnesses to the world, we must be able to address the world on its own terms. We want to learn about such challenges as those raised by resurgent world religions like Hinduism and Islam. And we want to learn more about the growing secularism in the US and in the West as a whole that makes it impossible for many to even hear the Good News and takes away the faith of many more.

We want to hear also about the innovative strategies that people are using to share the Good News of Jesus with those who do not yet know Him and/or those who once loved the Lord but have since lost their way. We want to hear not only for our own benefit but to play our roles in increasing the numbers of Lutheran people around the world who are committed to the missionary task God has given all His people.
